Valencia CF debuts against Elche CF in the “Retro Matchday” of LALIGA EA SPORTS 25-26

Valencia CF will play this coming Saturday, April 11 at 16:15 at the Martínez Valero, their Matchday 31 game of the 2025–26 LALIGA EA SPORTS season against Elche CF. It will be a special match as the “Retro Matchday” will be celebrated, in which First and Second Division teams will wear retro kits and play with a unique ball from that era.

On one hand, our team will feature a kit whose design is inspired by the early 1990s—a collection that reinterprets a classic that the team used as an alternative kit for two seasons (1990–91 and 1991–92).

Squads that included players such as Ricardo Arias, Fernando Giner, Voro, Paco Camarasa, Fernando Gómez Colomer, Miguel Ángel Bossio, Lubo Penev, Enric Cuxart, Carlos Arroyo, Rommel Fernández, Robert Fernández, José Manuel Ochotorena, and José Manuel Sempere, among others.

On the other hand, this match will be played with a special ball featuring a retro design that pays tribute to the aesthetic of the balls that defined football in the late 1990s. This LALIGA and PUMA ball retains the 12 large sealed panels without seams, a surface made of 1.1 mm 3D-textured PU, and a white base with black geometric graphics that evoke the characteristic style of that era.
